The Practitioner Diploma

The Practitioner Diploma has been designed to provide the newly qualified student (and qualified Practitioner) with some of the most modern and effective techniques in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. The focus on this course enables the practitioner to deal with a wider range of medical, psychological and somatic problems. Clinical Supervision is an integral part and there is a minimum of 6 supervisory sessions. Typically students progress from the Diploma course on to the practitioner level without any delay. Some students however may decide to gain work experience for up to two years before completing the course. The Practitioners Diploma consists of 8 intensive weekend and concludes in a one day examination. Successful candidates will be awarded their Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (PDCHyp).

All course notes are provided. The course begins with a detailed study of the advanced hypnotic inductions and deepeners. Included are dissociative techniques and strategic paradoxical therapeutic interventions. A more comprehensive explanation is available at the time of application. Included in this course is an emphasis on solution based therapy. Also included are therapeutic specialties for working with children, and EMDR with an indepth look at its application in trauma work. There is also significant study of the clinical applications of hypnosis in the treatment of somatic and psychogenic disorders. Further studies inculde counselling, stress management, psychiatry, and ethical practice which make up the last four modules on the course.

Detailed information of the course structure is available from the LCCH.
